I am a Christian! — Age 59, and overweight (I’m slowly working on fixing that). I’ve worked at Aultman hospital for 36 years, most of that time as an RN. I have taught High School: Earth Science, Biology and Chemistry, sold water softeners, cut Christmas trees, worked in a steel mill and various other assorted jobs including six years in the Army Reserves.
I’ve been married to my wonderful wife, Karen, for 32 years We have two grown children: Michael, the oldest, and Marci, the youngest. There are no grandchildren yet, but one is on the way. Marci and husband Ryan are awaiting the arrival of Norah in late April.
I’ve been taking photos since my uncle gave me an old Kodak Brownie nearly 50 years ago. As a college student I upgraded from a Kodak Instamatic and an old Argus C3, to a SLR Mamiya — still my favorite, but who can afford the film. I have tons of 35mm slides I’d like to scan to digital, but I’m not sure how to do that. The current camera I’m using is my second digital. The first digital camera I owned was a Kodak again. I am now using a Canon Power Shot S3. Sure, I’d like a different (and newer one) camera, but no one has offered to buy one for me.
I’ve been collecting quotations and illustrations for a lot of years. I once put a great number of them on my computer. I used a program that is not compatable with Vista – so I guess that I’ve lost all of them. I started my first website in 1991. For several years I maintained 3 websites — one of those was a daily page. I also maintained a website for our church. I’m new to blogging and I hope you will be patient with me as I lears more about it.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you will become a regular.
